Minister for Home Affairs Janardan Sharma has said that the government will fill the vacant posts of security agencies within a month.
While unveiling a roadmap for improvement in Home administration in the Capital on Tuesday, Minister Sharma said that the government will provide security round-the-clock in tourist areas like Thamel of Kathmandu and lake side of Pokhara, Kaski.
He said that preparations are being made to launch a system to allow the people to file complaints with police through online.
Minister Sharma, who is also the leader of CPN (Maoist Centre), said that the government has decided to cut encouragement allowance of traffic police and decided to provide extra allowance.
Minister Sharma further said that the government has also decided to amend the Prison Acts and Regulations.
He said the government has decided to keep toll free numbers at ministries and Nepal Police headquarters in Naxal.
He said that radio and television programmes will be launched soon in order to have a system of direct communication with Home Minister.
