Addressing Province-5 Assembly meeting in Butwal on Sunday, PM Oli urged everyone to utilise the human and natural resources, knowledge and skills for economic development. In his first-ever address in a Provincial Assembly, PM Oli conceded the country lagged behind for some time due to the agitation for democracy and called on everyone to strive without a second thought for taking the country on the path of prosperity.
He noted that the government was formed to serve the people rather than ruling the country. He directed the provincial government to stand in support of the people against corruption, irregularities and corruption.
He said there are immense opportunities in Province 5 because of Gautam Buddha’s birthplace Lumbini. PM Oli urged everyone to work in a planned manner so as to tap the huge potentials in religious and cultural tourism, agriculture, industry and trade, among other sectors.
