A 12-year-old boy was murdered after abduction in Rautahat district. Police have arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in the incident.
According to police, the abductors shot Yuvaraj Sah of Dumariya, Katahariya Municipality-9, and threw him on the bank of Bagmati River in Gadimai Municipality-5, 15 km away from his house. The boy was kidnapped from his house on Saturday night.
His body was found on the bank of Bagmati River on Monday. Inspector Chaturbhuj Ojha said Sah has sustained a bullet injury in his temple.
The District Police Office started searching for Sah following his abduction.
After the incident, Inspector Manoj Yadav of the District Police Office and Inspector Ojha of the Area Police Office, Garuda, nabbed Shakti Raya Yadav, Prabin Raya Yadav, Sunil Kumar Yadav of Dumariya, Katahariya-9 and Binod Kumar Patel and Rabi Kumar Patel of Akharpathar Brindaban Municipality for their alleged involvement in the crime.
Police said the suspects have confessed to the crime during interrogation. Sah’s parents learnt about the abduction only on Sunday morning.
Police said the abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 million from Sah’s parents. Sah was the only son of Dilip Sah.
