The Election Commission (EC) is like any other government agency in town. The hakim sahebs there know how to waste taxpayers’ money by purchasing luxury vehicles for themselves. The EC spent millions of Rupees on voter education and most of us were still confused when we went to the polls.

Our Finance Minister has tabled the budget for the coming fiscal year and it’s nothing new but the same old hisab kitab which makes no sense at all. We can only be proud of ourselves when our government manages to balance its books and hopefully show a surplus someday. Until then, we will be borrowing from our own and the bideshis to run the country while the debt piles up.

The good thing about having India as our chimeki is that we don’t need a visa to cross the border. And of course, Indians don’t need one either. If the Desis think that they are like Amrikans then maybe we should consider ourselves Candians. We are much friendlier and laid back while the Desis do want to rule the world someday and do act like the Amrikans in the SAARC region.
