South Goa district collector Venancio Furtado and other officials at the site have asked people not to enter within 100 metres of the building block.
Workers working at one of three buildings felt the vibrations and authorities immediately evacuated them. Cracks have been noticed in this building and internal work was on.
The other two buildings have visibly perceptively tilted towards the east. All the three buildings are ready and one is even painted. Painting work of the third building was to be taken up soon. It's a block of four inter-connected buildings at Chaudi, Canacona in south Goa.
As the adjacent building is likely to collapse, the search and rescue operation at the site of the collapsed building has stopped, director of fire and emergency services Ashok Menon who was overseeing the search and rescue operation, told TOI.
