Cases lodged against 12 trading firms

The Far Western Regional Office of Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has lodged cases against twelve trading enterprises for selling substandard food items.
The Office said that the cases were lodged in the concerned districts.
Chief of the Office Sanjib Kumar Karn said the trading firms failed to abide by the directives issued by the officials to not sell adulterated and substandard goods.
Karna said that the trading firms were caught for selling expired goods: mostly biscuits, tea packets, noodles, edible oils and spices.
