The police have confiscated 19 kilogrammes of hashish and two kilogrammes of marijuana while it was being smuggled to Mirjapur from Shankar Sariya village in Parsa in the wee hours on Monday.
A squad from the Armed Police Force (APF) base camp border outpost Bhikhampur confiscated the contraband at around 1:00 am today from Janakitola VDC, according to APF Inspector Phurgeli Sherpa.
The smugglers however succeeded in evading the arrest by fleeing. They immediately threw away the contraband upon encountering with the APF team and fled. The contraband has been handed to Area Police Office, Pokhariya, according to APF Border Security Office, Parsa's Superintendent Harka Bahadur Rawal. RSS
