Rautes are a nomadic tribe who mainly survive on hunting and gathering of jungle fruits and the government has categorized them as 'the endangered' class.
Rautes here who were residing the Jarbuta-based community forest were reportedly complaining that they were barred from entering the forest by locals. Now, we are going to hand over the forest ownership to the Rautes, District Forest Officer Shambhu Prasad Chaurasiya said. But, before entering to the forest, the Rautes should follow the conditions set by the Office and protect it.
