Six Nepali peacekeepers were injured, two critically, in a grenade attack in Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday.
Nepal Army Directorate of Public Relations informed that two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants fired bullets and threw a grenade at the convoy while they were transporting construction materials for Mavivi Airport in Beni.
Two peacekeepers sustained critical injuries in the attack. They, however, are said to be out of danger.
Preparations are being made to transfer them to a UN hospital in Goma City. Others injured are receiving treatment at their own battalion in Mavivi.
