Alternative route to allay traffic jam in Naubise-Nagdhunga section
The traffic administration has started sending small vehicles to Kathmandu via Pipaltar and Kakani route of Kathmandu to allay growing traffic congestion along the Naubise-Nagdhunga section.The small vehicles are being sent through the alternative route to lessen traffic jam for hours due to road maintenance.
The traffic office said the route from Galchhi of Dhading along the Prithvi Highway to Balaju of Kathmandu via Devighat, Pipaltar and Kakani along the Pasang Lyamu Highway has been used as an alternative way to reduce traffic jams.
Though the alternative route has been brought to use, passengers are being panicked due to additional fare they have to pay for long route.
It is learnt that a passenger has to pay additional Rs 200 to reach to Kathmandu from their destination because of the use of comparatively long route via Nuwakot.
The route from Galchhi to Kathmandu via kakani is 26-km long but the vehicle operators are charging additional Rs 200, passengers complained.
Passengers are bearing the brunt of delay in the raod maintenance works along the Naubise-Nagdhunga stretch. RSS
