The Federation had called for Capital banda seeking release of their detained leaders.
Police had earlier held some of the trade union leaders during a demonstration staged by the Federation against FedEx's, a multinational company, decision to relieve some of the workers from their duty.
Federation's coordinator Ram Deep Acharya said that the plan for banda was shelved for now as the detained leaders had been released.
He was, however, quick to warn that they would again resort to protest if the expelled workers were not reinstated and if the state did not provide free treatment to the ones injured during clash with police.
