A team led by Police Inspector Ramesh Bahadur Shrestha arrested Indradhoj Karki, 57, of Jamune VDC-1 and seized the tiger skin hidden in his house.
Organising a news conference here today, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Chakraraj Joshi, informed that police seized around six feet long and 1.2 inch wide tiger skin and four kilogrammes of tiger bones from Karki.
Three others involved in the case are at large and a search for them is underway, added police.
Investigation into the case is underway and if found guilty, Karki could be fined between Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000 or be sent to five to 15 years in jail or both as per the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act 2029 B.S.
