PM, Regmi extend New Year wishes
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and former Chairman of the Interim Election Council, Khil Raj Regmi, have extended their best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of New Year.Ekantipur Report
The year 2070 BS has created a separate position in Nepal's history brining democratic process back in track by holding the elections to the Constituent Assembly which has also ensured a hope to draft a new constitution with in a year, said the PM in his statement. "I hope that we will complete the remaining task of the peace process and drafting a new constitution in this year- 2071 BS," said the PM in his statement.
Decisions to take ownership of the past CA has mustered a hope to draft a new constitution within the stipulated time, said the PM in his message. The PM also hoped that with the onset of positive political environment, the nation will attract more investment in various sectors from inside and outside. He also committed that his government is trying all possible to hold local elections, transparent and accountable governance while pursuing developmental activities.
Similarly, in his message, Regmi has said that CA has responsibility to deliver a new constitution within a year and urged the leaders, lawmakers to facilitate in this process. He also urged the government to coordinate and facilitate the CA to make it a success.
