The border transit points were closed for 72 hours starting Monday at the request of the security officials of the Indian side and following an agreement between the two sides, said acting Chief District Officer Krishna Khanal.
Seventh phase of elections for the Indian Loksabha is taking place today in seven electoral constituencies in neighbouring states of India.
The transit points will open soon after the voting ends at 5:00 pm today, according to Khanal.
Border points in Mahottari as well as in Dhanusa, Siraha and Saptari districts have been closed today. RSS
