The officials have been accused of embezzling funds allocated for Gamariya-4 Pattiprawaha-based Nepal Rastriya Primary School in Saptari from the academic year 2064/65 to 2068/69.

The anti-graft body has claimed that Rs. 4.951 million allocated for infrastructure development, purchase of computers, community management, scholarships and lunch distribution was misused.

The CIAA has filed case against the then DEOs Kedar Tiwari, Shatrughan Yadav, Dolraj Pandey, accountant Ganesh Katuwal, Sunil Kumar Prasad, sub engineers Yogesh Kumar Sah, Upendra Prasad Sah and Bhupendra Sah, acting principal of the school Satya Narayan Paswan, section officer at the District Education Office Kameshwor Sah, sub engineer Binod Kumar Singh, programme officer Bijay Kumar Mandal, Rabindra Prasad Yadav and the then principal Chandradev Kumar Yadav.

CIAA spokesperson Shreedhar Sapkota informed that investigation was underway in other schools as well for possible cases of corruption.
