Addressing the party’s national convention in the Capital on Saturday, Chairman Thapa said that monarchy would be revived after following due procedure. “We can any time bring former King from Nagarjuna to Narayanhiti,” said Thapa,” But we will do that with due procedure.”
Chairman Thapa further believed that people would give their verdict while reviving monarchy.
In a different context, the former home minister added that his party would never accept the idea of secularism in the country where close to more than 80 percent were still Hindus.
“Republicanism, secularism and federalism was introduced by UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML under foreign suggestion,” he said, adding that they were ready for execution, if needed, against secularism.
