Authorities directed to complete blacktopping of 111km roads
Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has directed the concerned bodies to complete the blacktopping of 111 kilometers of roads inside the Kathmandu Valley within July 16.Ekantipur Report
The government directives on Saturday come as per the June 30 directives of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority to that end.
A government team headed by PMO Secretary Krishna Hari Baskota today inspected the ongoing road-widening works from Maitighar Mandala to Tinkune Koteshwor. So far, only 86 kilometers of roads have been blacktopped in the Valley.
Secretary Baskota ordered the bodies concerned to complete the blacktopping of remaining 25 kilometers within July 16.
Also on the occasion, respective construction entrepreneurs were told not to let any individual store construction materials in public places and proceed up with the construction of bridges at Bijuli Bazar and near Tinkune.
Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development Kishor Thapa and Secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management Tulsi Sitaula were also in the monitoring team.
