Conference on Medical Physics to be held in Dhaka

The second International Conference on Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology and Imaging (ICMPROI- 2014) is scheduled to be held in Dhaka from August 20-22.
The conference is jointly organised by Bangladesh Medical Physics Society (BMPS), Nepalese Association of Medical Physicists (NAMP) and Association of Medical Physicists of India (AMPI).
This conference, endorsed by Asia Oceania Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (AFOMP) and International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), will take place at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka, the Capital of Bangladesh.
More than 400 delegates from around the globe are expected to participate at the conference where discussions will be held on topics related to Radiation Oncology Physics, Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Health Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Nuclear Physics, Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering.
Vice President of the organising committee, P. P. Chaurasia, believed that the conference would help to understand the new developments on Safe Use of Radiation in diagnosis and radiation therapy.
Dr. Kanchan Adhikari of Bir Hospital will be participating at the conference while Matrika Prasad Adhikari, a medical physicist at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital, will present a research paper at the conference.
