Leader Pokharel informed that his party has begun discussions regarding pulling out of the government as that PM Koirala has been creating problems in implementing the agreement forged with his party during the government formation.
Speaking at a programme organised at Reporters Club on Thursday leader Pokharel claimed that his party is steadfast on their demand for endorsing the President and Vice President according to the 7-point agreement.
"If PM Koirala doesn't comply with the 7-point agreement, UML will pull out of the government," said Pokharel, "UML is clear that the President and Vice President should be endorsed by the Constituent Assembly."
During the programme, he alleged the NC leaders of being against the culture of "expression alliance". Further alleging PM Koirala of being trapped in partisan interests, he added that the PM was interfering in the political appointments made by the UML ministers.
"Due to the interference of the PM, Ambassadors haven’t been appointed," he said, "He caused dispute by promoting junior officers in the post of AIG."
Likewise, NC leader Dip Kumar Upadhayay urged not to create dispute over the respected post of President as the Parliament has recognised him while presenting the government’s policies and programmes and the Supreme Court has already given clean chit to him.
Further, UCPN (Maoist) leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi remarked that the issue of endorsing President and Vice President as futile.
