ARF-Nepal distributes relief to Bardiya flood victims
Asian Resource Foundation Nepal (ARF-NEPAL) distributed relief materials to the flood victims of Titihariya VDC of Banke and Banganaha VDC of Bardiya district.Ekantipur Report
The Foundation provided 20 kg rice, 5 kg pulse, 2 kg flour, 1 liter oil, 1 kg salt, including other household materials like tent, mosquito net and bed-sheets to a total of 402 flood victims amidst a programme held recently at Titihariya in the district.
The relief distribution function was attended by Constituent Assembly members Dal Bahadur Sunar, Asha BK, local political leaders and representatives from Local Development and District Administration offices.
Dr. Manor Din Shaiyed, President of ARF-NEPAL, also a noted gynecologist, expressed deep condolence to the lives lost in the aftermath of the floods and added that his foundation wanted to contribute to the flood victims.
Also speaking at the programme, CA member Sunar said that government and the non-governmental organisations should work hand in hand for the development of society and also to address the problems of flood victims.
Besides Dr. Shaiyed, social workers including Kiran Bohara, Dirgharaj Sigdel, Humayun Kabir, among others, contributed in the distribution of relief materials to the flood victims.
