Aug 29, 2014-
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday confiscated 'suspicious' documents related to the accounts section from three departments of the Tribhuvan University (TU).
The CIAA made such raid at the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Central Department of Management and Second Higher Education Project after receiving information regarding possible irregularities.
The anti-graft body said that the official documents were seized after receiving information of massive irregularities, and that investigation is underway into the case.
Earlier this week on Sunday, the CIAA had raided 13 Central Departments of TU and other key education bodies, and had seized two truckloads of documents related to the procurements, college affiliations, student admission, and lecturer/employee appointments.
