Organising a press conference at the Reporter’s Club in the Capital today, the federation warned of launching protests from September 6 stating that the stakeholders had been ignoring their demands.
The federation further warned that they would handover the keys of the entire petroleum tankers to the government from September 16, adding that they had to resort to protests as the NOC and the government were not serious about their demands.
Likewise, NPTEF’s Chairman Khageshwor Bohara expressed dissatisfaction saying that false case was registered against the ones accused of stealing petroleum products in Bhairahawa few months back.
The federation has floated a ten-point demand which includes protection of the investment of tankers kept on contract basis, implementation of transportation regulation, insurance of risk involved in petroleum products, excise duty to be carried out by NOC, among others.
