The case filed at the Special Court has accused eight NOC officials, including Deputy Director Ajit Kumar Pokharel, Deputy Manager Devendra Bahadur Karki and assistant mangers trio Keshav Acharya, Rabin Kumar Rawat and Ram Bhakta Karki, of siphoning off petroleum products from the shipments arriving from India, as well as the tankers transporting fuel to depots in different parts of the country.
Four petroleum dealers, 66 oil tanker operators and 19 drivers have also been booked in the case.
The CIAA has sought maximum jail sentence for the accused along with the repayment for the loss incurred by the country.
