The UCPN (M) leader also claimed that the House proceedings would not resume unless Dahal assumes the post of HLPC coordinator. He was speaking at a programme in Argakhanchi today.
Leader Rayamajhi said that UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli was not willing to accept Dahal as HLPC coordinator even when Nepali Congress and other UML leaders had agreed on the same. “The situation has become further complex because of Oli’s disapproval,” he added.
In a different context, he said that Prime Minister Sushil Koirala-led government would bring out the draft of new constitution on stipulated timeframe, adding that he would be automatically removed from the post after that.
"The constitution will be promulgated within January 22 and after that new government will be formed," he said. The former minister added that 90 percent of task regarding constitution writing has been completed and the constitution will be drafted on time if political parties strike consensus on remaining works.
