PM Koirala arrives in Kathmandu
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala arrived here in the Capital on Thursday after attending the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held in New York, USA.Ekantipur Report
PM Koirala landed here at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at around 4 this afternoon. He came from Brussels. He was on a three-day visit to the Federal Kingdom of Belgium. He went to Brussels on September 29 after attending the UNGA in New York.
Addressing to the UNGA on September 26, PM Koirala had put forth his views to bring reforms at UN including the Security Council. Similarly, he reiterated Nepal’s support to the desire of India, Japan, Germany and Brazil to serve as permanent members in the expanded Security Council of UN.
Likewise, Koirala also participated in the UN’s Security Council summit at the UNGA.
Meanwhile, PM Koirala met UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, US President Barack Obama, Indian PM Naredra Modi, Srilankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina and Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif during his UNGA visit.
