A delegation of the Nepal Sambat New Year 1135 Main Organising Committee led by the committee chairman Triratna Mannadhar met with Prime Minister Koirala on Sunday and extended the invitation.    

The delegation also handed over a memorandum to the Prime Minister calling for respecting the Nepal Sambat year after its declaration as the National Calendar and to use it in practice.    

The nine-point memo demands that the Head of State and the government bodies should bring the Nepal Sambat into use in their written documents on an immediate basis, using the Nepal Sambat calendar in Nepali currency notes and immediately starting setting up the Shankhadhar Foundation, among others.
