Aanal Upadhayay, 21, son of the founder editor of the publications, was seriously injured in a car accident in the United States on Saturday evening.
He was rushed to Bethesda-based Suburban Hospital in Maryland where he was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment on Monday, said Baltimore based Nepal Journalist Association Chairman Gautam Dahal.
Aanal’s car rammed a road side pole causing the fatal accident. He is the only child of Upadhayay and litterateur Sita Pandey.
Aanal, alumni of Budhaneelkantha School, completed his high school education in Maryland.
According to Dahal, postmortem of Aanal’s body is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
