Flood victims said that they are worse off as they lack warm clothing and other essentials in the camps where they have been rehabilitated to ward off cold.

people belonging to poor households are especially finding it difficult to treat their sick children for want of money.
Goma Chanda Thakuri of Udharapur, a flood victim, said that her children do not have warm clothes to wear to ward off cold as she cannot afford them, and complained that the government did not also provide them with warm clothes while distributing relief materials.
Meanwhile, the weather pattern has also disrupted flights from Nepalgunj with airlines officials saying that they have been forced to cancel many flights due to bad weather conditions.
The Banke branch of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) said that cold wave started in the districts since the first week of December, which is one month earlier than the previous year, due to storm emerging from the east.
Rita Mahato of the DHM branch said that dense fogs have started appearing in the sky lately, blocking the sun completely and thus increasing the cold. According to the DHM branch, the minimum temperature of Nepalgunj was dropped to 12.6 degree celsius on Wednesday.
