UCPN (Maoist) leader Baburam Bhattarai and his wife Hisila Yami have donated Rs 50,000 to Rakshya Nepal, an organisation that is supporting Puja Bohara, a victim of gang-rape from Baitadi district. Puja was who drugged and raped by two men in 2012. The perpetrators, who were sentenced to 13 years in jail and fined Rs 50,000 each by the Baitadi District Court, were acquitted by the Mahendranagar Appellate Court in April, 2014. Bhattarai had vowed to
deliver justice to Puja after reading her open letter to Law Minister Narahari Acharya.
