Ali R Deryan is the general manager of Tanzifco Training Centre Dubai.Tell us something about the Tanzifco.
Established in 1963 in Kuwait, the company has been providing trainings services to recruit and train prospective candidates, as per the Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate standard of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). We train and educate the participants about health and safety at work, grooming and hygiene standard, colour code techniques, safe use and care of machine, chemical competence along with customer care services and basic communication skills. The company has presence in countries like the UAE, Oman, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Sri Lanka, India and Nepal. We started the service in Nepal from June last year. Before, we had been doing various recruitment programmes in the country. Over the years, we have been witnessing an unprecedented growth, and with years of experience in the field, our company has been ranked as a leading regional soft and hard services company in the Middle East. Tanzifco employs more than 25,000 people across the countries.
What are the sectors Tanzifco is covering in Nepal?
Currently, we are offering training programmes for general cleaners, office boys and girls along with hotel and hospital house keepers. We have five programmes, including general cleaning training, cleaning supervisor training, hospital housekeeping training, hotel housekeeping and office boy/girl training. We will gradually expand our services to others sectors like facility management to security guards, and air conditioner repairs, among others.
How you see the potential of these services?
We believe there is a significance of trained and skilled manpower in the industry of any country. For an instance, if someone is in the cleaning industry, s/he requires the knowledge about the use of machinery equipment. In case of not using it properly, it could damage or ruin one’s life. People should know about cleaning, hygiene and environment while using machinery items. Nepali people can learn many things as we have very experienced and certified trainers. It can be very helpful for those who want to go abroad for better salaries. Since training programmes are a requirement of these days to earn better pay along with safety issues of the worker, we came here with a wide range of products and services with certified trainers.
What are your company’s future plans for Nepal?
As we provide the services to large areas of government and private sector clients, including ministries, hospitality and healthcare facilities, retail outlets and malls among others, we will be expanding our training services to these fields. And, we will also try to offer our services at competitive fees for the Nepali people.
