They are also holding informal talks with the second-rung leaders and the top leaders of their respective parties.
“The negotiation should resume from the same point that invited this present political crisis,” said Ramhari Khatiwada, youth leader of Nepali Congress.
The opposition parties had broken off the talks on the evening of January 19 after the ruling parties initiated the questionnaire formation process in the CA to settle the contentious issues through vote on January 19.
“We want the ruling parties’ commitment for consensus-based constitution,” said Haribol Gajurel, UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker.
The ruling parties have said that they cannot guarantee consensus on all thorny issues.
