As the case against Darai is pending in a Kuwaiti court, the Darai family has expressed optimism that she could be released.
Following Darai's arrest, her family members had been repeatedly appealing to the Migration Information and Counseling Centre in Nawalparasi for her rescue.
The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has been coordinating with the authorities concerned in favour of accused Darai.
DoFE had informed the Pravashi (migrant) Nepali Coordination Committee (PNCC) in Kathmandu about the case. PNCC, in coordination with the Nepali embassy in Kuwait and DoFE, began the rescue process.
