Modality of technical SLC results yet to be finalised
The panel, however, is yet to start its wok. According to Dware, they could not initiate work as the entire human resources had to be mobilised for the SLC examinations. The Secondary Examination Promotion Committee (SEPC) led by Education Secretary Bishwo Prakash Pandit in December last year had decided to adopt the grading system for technical category and gradually implement it for the general category as well. The SEPC had also formed an eight-member panel led by Examination Controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware to decide on the modality for the grading system.
The panel, however, is yet to start its wok. According to Dware, they could not initiate work as the entire human resources had to be mobilised for the SLC examinations. He said the panel will intensify its works soon after the completion of the examinations. “We will finalise the appropriate modality within a month. This will come into effect after the SEPC endorses it,” he said. The OCE had proposed to rate “A+” for students securing 90 to 100 percent marks; “A” for 80 to 89 percent; “B” for 60 to 79 percent; “C” for 40 to 59 percent; “D” for 25 to 39 percent and “E” for below 25 percent marks.
