Police in Nepalgunj, Banke, said two other Nepalis, who allegedly escaped from captivity, came to their contact on Saturday and reported about the incident.

Suraj Kumal and Mane Kumal, both of from Pyuthan district, told police that a group of men accosted them near Gonda railway station two days ago. They were then detained in a room and injected with a sedative drug. The victims were returning home from Punjab.

Suraj and Mane, who claimed to have been robbed of IRs 51,000, said 10 others, including their friends Narayan Kumal and Ashok Kumal, are still in captivity. They also claimed that the gang that detained them had some Nepali members as well.

Police said they have informed the Indian police to confirm the incident.
