Nepali artists and writers in Bangladesh

The programme, which was held at the Bangladesh National Musuem, was jointly organised by two Bangladesh-based organisations—Root Bangladesh and Odko Limited. The workshop started with a woodcraft and painting exhibition featuring works by Nepali artists Narendra Bahadur Shrestha and Nagendra prasad Poudel.

The Nepali team participating in the programme was led by poet Krishna Prasain. Apart from the art exhibition, the programme also saw literary discussions, seminars and poetry recitation, among others.
While Mahesh Paudyal, a Nepali literary critic, presented a paper on raising local issues in contemporary Nepali literature, Ranjit Biswash, the cultural secretary of the Bangladeshi government, discussed the development of Bangaladeshi fiction.
During the programme Nepali singer Pradeep Bamjan sang songs in both Nepali and Bengali. Similarly, Nepali dancers Ashmita Bhandari, Pramisha Shrestha and Pawan Pathak performed before the audience.
