Thirty-one police officers have completed 150-hour French language course.certificates from French Ambassador to Nepal Martine Bassereau at a programme on Thursday.
Assistant Inspector General of Nepal Police Rajendra Singh Bhandari and visiting French Police Attaché from New Delhi Fabrice Grossir were also present in the programme.
Alliance Française de Katmandou, with support from the French government, had provided the language training to the police officers who would be joining the UN peacekeeping mission in the near future.
“We certainly hope that this will not be the end of the journey for those of you learning the French language but a wonderful beginning. We are sure that this would be very useful for those who would participate in the future UN peacekeeping missions and also for your career,” the French envoy said.
