Bureau Director Dr Gita Shakya informed that the collection of blood has exceeded requirements. With massive blood donation drive in fear of blood shortage, blood banks were overwhelmed with donated blood.
"Blood can be stored for certain period of time," said Dr Shakya, "If the donation is not stopped now the collected bloods will go to waste." She further informed that the collection of blood has exceeded the required amount not only in the Capital but all around the nation.
Dr Shakya urging to stop the blood collection campaign said that such donation calls will be made again if necessary.
