India, from central and state level has been providing rescue and relief aid at a time when more than 6,000 Nepalis have lost their life leaving thousands injured and homeless following Saturday’s quake.
According to a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indian Foreign Secretary will also take stock about the additional aid needed and rescue process. He will also be holding meetings with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Foreign Minister Mahendra Pandey, and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam among others.
The Indian Government has already sent diplomatic officer Gopal Bagle to Kathmandu to coordinate the Indian rescue and relief operations.
