Speaking in a press conference in the Capital on Saturday, Paudyal said the individual volunteers were directed to coordinate with Chief District Officers in order to balance the distribution of relief packages as there are possibilities of disparity in the distribution so that certain places receive huge quantity of relief while others places might not get at all.

Chief Secy Paudyal said the government teams led by joint-secretaries have already reached 15 hardest hit constituencies. “We have assigned 55 personnel in 15 areas,” he said.

However, Paudyal refuted the claims of media reports of haggle over leadership as to which government entities should take it.

Paudyal also informed that there are enough food stuff for distribution to the earthquake victims but there is lack of enough tents.

People willing to contribute to the relief packages can provide to the Thapathali-based Nepal Food Corporation, Paudyal informed.
