Three rescued alive in Sindhupalchok
Eight days after the deadly earthquake, three people have been rescued alive from underneath the rubble at Syaule-8in Sindhupalchok district on Sunday.Ekantipur Report
A team of Armed Police Force (APF) rescued Gyan Kumari Khatri, Kancha Khatir, Dhana Kumari Khatri from under the rubble. Their houses collapsed in the deadly earthquake on April 25.
According to APF DSP Ajaya Chatikuli, they have been gathering the details about the rescue. “We have received the information about the rescue of three people by APF personnel. We are trying to contact them.”
They have been admitted to a Chautara-based hospital in Kathmandu.
Meanwhile, 105-year-old Funchu Tamang of was rescued 105-year-old Fanchu Ghale in Kimtang-8 of Nuwakot district.
A team led by Nepal Police pulled out Tamang from the rubble of his collapsed house.
Apart from minor injuries in his limbs, rescuers described his health condition as fine. He was airlifted by a Nepal Army helicopter to Trishuli District Hospital for treatment.
