According to Luk Bahadur Chettri, the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Rolpa, this move was as per the government's target to increase the relief package (compensation amount) for such families from the existing Rs 300,000 to Rs 500,000 under the current fiscal year.
CDO Chhetri added that the amount Rs 100,000 would be provided to 935 families in Rolpa who are enlisted in the 'Red Book' of the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction after recommendation of the District Administration Office, Rolpa.
The distribution of this additional amount will take place from May 31 and last until the mid of June, shared Chhetri.
Of total such families recorded in the district, 902 fall into the category of the deceased and 33 are of missing. RSS
