India, China foreign ministers met in Kathmandu
Foreign Ministers of India and China met and held talks in Kathmandu on the sideline of international conference on Nepal’s reconstruction-2015.Ekantipur Report
Visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, held talks in Kathmandu on Thursday morning.
According to MEA Spokesperson, Vikas Swarup, the discusisons were focused on strengthening India, China cooperation and coordination.
While meeting with Nepal’s Prime Minister on Wednesday evening, the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang has proposed to develop China-Nepal-India corridor.
During the meeting with PM Koirala, Wang informed that the matter was discussed with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his China visit where he expressed the proposal as positive one. Nepal has expressed its positive note over the proposal and will continue talks with India and China after some time as Nepal will be seen as transit between India and China.
