Rapist sentenced to 12 years in Chitwan and Ilam

Rajendra Fago Limbu, also known as Bhupesh, of Chulachuli-1, Ilam has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted by the Ilam District Court of raping a minor girl.
The bench of district judge Prakash Dhungana also announced Rs. 30,000 compensation to be given to the survivor from the rapist, according to records keeper at the court Jagdishwar Bhattarai.
Limbu had raped the 10-year-old girl last year.
Meanwhile, in a similar incident in Chitwan, a man has been sentenced to 12 years in jail for raping a 14-year-old girl.
Chandra Bahadur Chettri,33, a resident of Kathar VDC-3 in east Chitwan was handed down a 12-year jail sentence by district judge Binod Mohan Acharya on Tuesday. The rape incident had taken place a year ago. RSS
