Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has expressed his desire to finalise the state delineation before the promulgation of new constitution.Ekantipur Report
He conveyed such wish during a meeting with private sector bodies at his residence in Baluwatar on Sunday.
“We suggested him to emphasise the issue after he showed his interest to promulgate the constitution after finalising the state borders,” Confederation of Nepalese Industries Senior Vice President Hari Bhakta Sharma told eKantipur. “Prime Minister said this would be possible if other political parties supported him. He would continue to lobby for the same on his part,” Sharma added.
According to sources privy to the development, PM Koirala said the constitution drafting is facing problems due to the stands of the ruling coalition partner CPN-UML and few other parties.
The other parties are creating hindrance on the issues of private sectors like open market economy, socialism oriented economy, and provisions regarding labour, said a participant of the meeting, quoting the PM as telling during the meeting.
