KATHMANDU: Go Automobiles, authorised distributor of Ford vehicles, has announced bookings for the Ford Figo Aspire compact sedan car with a starting price of Rs2.49 million. The Figo Aspire will be available in both diesel and petrol options. The petrol option has two variants—1.5 litre and 1.2 litre. The top-end petrol variant—Titanium AT—costs Rs3.49 million. The diesel version comes with 1.5-litre engine, priced between Rs2.79 million and Rs3.89 million. Both these engines are paired with responsive five-speed manual transmission. For those looking for the sophisticated refinement of an automatic transmission, Figo Aspire will come with a six-speed Power Shift automatic transmission paired with a 1.5L TiVCT petrol engine that offers a peak power of 112 PS and a fuel economy of 17.2 Km per litre, said the company in a statement. Jagadamba Steels felicitates youths
KATHMANDU: Jagadamba Steels, in partnership with the Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON), has felicitated Nepali Yuva Ratna on the occasion of International Youth Day. Bishal Dhakal, Brabim Kumar KC, Jigme Sherpa, Nirnaya Shrestha, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Nishant Shrestha, Sneedha Mainali, Laxman Bahadur Basnet, Dipesh Khatri and Prem Hamal were awarded by the Nepali Yuva Ratna. The company had launched the CSR campaign called “Nepal is Steel Strong” wherein it announced to salute the resilient youth heroes of country. The company said that the nominations were flooded from across the country for the award. In the aftermath of recent earthquake, Nepal witnessed a rise of everyday youth heroes who bounced back immediately to help others rise back from the rubbles, said the company statement. (PR)

Dabur Nepal beekeeping promotion
KATHMANDU: Dabur Nepal organised a one-day beekeeping promotional activity in Banepa, Kavre, inside the Greenhouse complex. The programme attracted many farmers and all other stakeholders in and around Banepa. Dabur Nepal was associated with this promotional activity for quite some time in Nepal to generate alternate income to the rural poor. Dabur also distributed around 200 beehives of those enterprising and interested farmers of Banepa. The programme was followed by regular onsite training and demonstration to the farmers of all activities of beekeeping which includes making of bee boxes, rearing of bees, and multiplication of bee colonies, uses of bee wax and ultimately production of high quality honey on a continuous basis. Meanwhile, H. S. Bedi, country manager of Dabur Nepal and farmers group headed by Khel Krishna Thapa of Thapagaun, Kavre signed a memorandum of understanding. The company will also organise same programme in Tarai region and western hill of Nepal in coming months. (PR)
