Prohibitory order continued in Gulariya, Rajapur

The administration continued the prohibitory order in Gulariya from 11 am till 5 pm in the evening in view of the continuous protest rallies.
Chief District Officer of Bardiay, Binod Bahadur Kunwar, said the order was issued to avert the possible untoward incident. The authority has banned the use of batons, spares, and petrol, among other home-made weapons, during protest.
Those founding violating the rule will be arrested and the security personnel have been given the authority to open fire if the rule is defied, CDO Kunwa informed.
Bardiya chaotic on 16th day of strike
Meanwhile, the general strike jointly enforced by Tharuhat/Tharuwan and Madhesi Morcha has entered the 16th day in Bardiya, throwing the normal life out of gear.
Vehicular movement has come to a grinding halt, businesses and industries have remained shut. The locals are becoming impatient with the growing shortage of daily essential commodities including petroleum products.
