Expressing dissatisfaction over dividing Rukum in the proposed demarcation of federal state boundaries, the Integrated Rukum Struggle Committee (IRSC) has demanded inclusion of entire Rukum district to the province number 5. 

A delegation headed by Committee Coordinator Tek Bahadur Pun on Sunday submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and expressed displeasure over the delineation of eastern part of Rukum in province 5 and western part in province number 6. 

The memorandum stated that a 101-member Integrated Rukum Joint Struggle Committee formed after the August 8 agreement among the major parties on boundaries of federal setups that split Rukum into two parts has been organising peaceful protests. 

While receiving the memorandum, Prime Minister Koirala said that they are effortful to frame a new constitution based on the policy of keeping districts undivided to the possible extent. RSS
