Pun, Sharma raise objection to Bhattarai’s remarks

The leaders demanded the CPN-UML’s official position regarding Sharma’s remarks. “After hearing such remarks, i called up Yogesh ji but he denied having spoken anything like that,” Pun told the Post. “Whatever is reported in the media is remorseful.”
Pun demanded clarifications from UML Chairman KP Sharma oli and General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel regarding Bhattarai’s remarks. He said the leaders said they were not aware about Secretary’s remarks.
“Chairman Oli said it was a conspiracy to create a rift between the two parties. And General Secretary Pokharel also said it was not the party’s official view,” he said. “We have considered the leaders’ views as the official.”
At an interaction programme in the Capital on Sunday, leader Bhattarai had allegedly said that Tikapur incident was plotted by UCPN (Maoist) leaders Pun, Sharma, CPN-Maoist leader Mohan Baidya, Netra Bikram Chand led CPN Maoist, former Maoist combatants and armed groups of Tarai.
