At a programme 'Sunday Club' organised by the Working Woman Journalist (WWJ) here, KC said the journalists must be alert towards the widespread problems of depriving the journalists of appointment letters and minimum pay. "Some are working without an appointment letter for sake of finding a job," KC said adding, "There are journalists who work without allowance for a long time, the journalists must themselves be alert towards these things."
The government has been expending four billion rupees annually for advertisements, KC shared further stressing the need to form Advertisement Authority to implement proportional one widow distribution of advertisements.
WWJ Chairperson Suvekcha Bindu Tuladhar insisted on determining wages in par with the work responsibility. She said the media houses must heed towards the special conditions of women journalists apart from the issue of minimum wages.
