Meanwhile, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) Chairman Mahanta Thakur and Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav have arrived in Kathmandu today.
TMLP Chairman, after arriving at party head office in Bijuli bazaar, Kathmandu remarked that the possibility of dialogues were feeble until the government and the so-called ‘big parties’ halt the ongoing violence. Chairman Thakur, however, hinted that his visit here was to address the political and diplomatic concerns.
The preconditions set by Madhesi Morcha for talks are halting the Constituent Assembly (CA) process, withdrawal of the Nepal Army from the riot-hit areas and implemenation of past agreements signed with them.
Likewise, SSFN Chairman Yadav termed the use of force in Birgunj protests today as a move towards ethnic cleansing. He further said that the police brutality during the demonstrations were a crime against humanity adding that there is no chance for dialogues until the ongoing onslaught is stopped.
Similarly, Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato reiterated that the conditions set forth by the Madhesi front should be addressed. He firmly stated that talks should be held in Tarai region and dialogue cannot take place in Kathmandu.
